Course Objectives This course students; It aims to identify gifted individuals, identify psychological and educational needs of gifted individuals and develop appropriate approaches
Course Content Introducing the scales used in determining the basic characteristics of gifted children, preventive PCG services for gifted children, issues and practices to be considered in preparing an individual education and counseling program.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attends and are successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings: 1. Be able to explain term of giftedness. 2. Be able to tell the methods used in determining gifted children. 3. Be able to explain features of gifted children. 4. Be able to determines psychological needs of gifted children. 5. Be able to provides counseling in accordance with children's psychological needs. 6. Be able to determines educational needs of gifted children. 7. Be able to explain methods of gifted education.
