Course Objectives The aim of this course is; To understand the type and development of the concept of sustainability, the benefits of sustainability for people and society, the dimensions of sustainable development, the relations between sustainability and education, the future of humanity and sustainability in theoretical and practical aspects.
Course Content It ensures that prospective teachers studying in teacher training programs are informed about "sustainable development".
Learning Outcomes (LO) 1 Explains the benefits of sustainability for people and society.; 2 Minimum Sustainability Concept explains Ecological Footprints.; 3 Knows the Social Change and Sustainability Process.; 4 Knows Application Examples from Turkey in the Field of Education for Sustainable Development.; 5 Explains the Future of Humanity and the Concept of Sustainability; 6 Recognizes the types/types of migration, understands their characteristics and sub-purposes.; 7 Realizes that future generations have the right to benefit from the same living space and resources. ; 8 Makes inferences about how human activities affect the natural balance; 9 Understands the importance of environmental psychology in sustainability.; 10 Understands the concept of sustainable society in realizing the importance of education in sustainability and development.;
