Course Objectives The "Foreign Trade and Customs Procedures" course aims to provide students with an understanding of the fundamental principles of foreign trade, customs procedures, and related processes. The course is designed to equip students with knowledge about trade documents, payment methods, customs regulations, and logistics processes. It also aims to help students understand the legal aspects of international trade and customs operations.
Course Content This course covers topics such as international trade theories, export and import processes, trade documents, delivery terms (INCOTERMS), payment methods, customs procedures, customs duties, logistics, and transportation methods. Additionally, trade policies, free trade agreements, and the legal framework of international trade will be examined.
Learning Outcomes (LO) 1. Define the basic concepts and processes of foreign trade. 2. Explain the documents and payment methods used in import and export transactions. 3. Analyze the legal procedures and processes related to customs operations. 4. Apply INCOTERMS and use of trade documents. 5. Evaluate international logistics and transportation methods. 6. Discuss the impact of free trade agreements and trade policies on international trade.
