Course Objectives |
The aim of this course is to familiarize students with career information resources and to use the information learned in this course both in their career development process and in the service offered to their counselee. |
Course Content |
Career planning process, career counselors' responsibilities in the process, methods of using knowledge of people who make career decisions and criteria that can be used to evaluate the quality of information, labor market, basic information resources belonging to the public and private sector, and major occupational classification systems. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
Those who attends and successfully complete this course are expected to acquire the following gains:
1. Explains the career planning process.
2. Expresses the career counselors' responsibilities in the process.
3. Explains the methods of using information and the criteria that can be used by those who make a career decision to evaluate the quality of knowledge.
4. Defines the concept of labor market.
5. Explains the basic information sources belonging to the public and private sector.
6. Knows the main occupational classification systems. |
