Course Objectives The aim of the course is to provide a general view on the relationship between various fields of linguistics and language teaching, and to increase students' awareness of the possible contributions of linguistics to language teaching in general.

Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; LO1 - be familiar with basic issues in linguistics and language teaching LO2 - appreaciate the place of linguistics in ELT and LT in general LO3 - be able to identify problems and reserach issues in relation to LT in general
