Course Objectives The aims of lesson are to help the higher education students in order to develop the use and understanding of their native language, to create a consciousness towards the importance of native language, to improve the students’ writing and speaking skill so that they can use the language correct and well.
Course Content There is no prerequisite or co-requisite for this course.
Learning Outcomes (LO) 1-Understands the elements of the sentence. 2-Recognizes the types of written composition. 3-Examines the works of literature and thought, practices on the rhetoric that makes these works. 4-Knows and applies the rules to be followed in scientific writing. 5-Detects and corrects mistakes in language. 6-Thoughts and feelings verbally and in writing conveys the most beautiful. 7-Thinking types ‘scientific, skeptical , critical interpretive, creative and constructive thinking) knows and applies.

1. Week Sentence : Word groups , sentence and the elements composing the sentence.
2. Week Types of sentence.
3. Week Sentence analysis, examples of sentence review.
4. Week Composition :Subject , idea and main idea.
5. Week Theme, imagination , paragraph.
6. Week Forms of expression.
7. Week Official (formal) entries : Official report, official decision, reports, business letters, CV .
8. Week MIDTERM EXAM
9. Week Transfer of ideas and information articles. Creative, fictional articles.
10. Week Language mistakes : Spelling and punctuation mistakes.
11. Week Language mistakes : Speech disorders, voice based mistakes.
12. Week Verbal expression (prepared group conversations) : Open session, the symposium (feast of information), panels, forums, colloquia.
13. Week Verbal expression (individually prepared speeches) : Congerences and oration.
14. Week Scientific research and presentation techniques.
