Course Objectives The scope of this course is providing the ability to understand basic principles of criminal procedure law which focuses on the search for truth and criminal law suits respecting human rights.
Course Content Criminal procedure law deals with criminal charge, defense, and a series of activities related to criminal case regarding the questions about crime, offender and sanction.
Learning Outcomes (LO) 1. Gaining basic knowledge on definition, resources and field of application of criminal procedure law. 2. Assessing human rights in criminal procedure law, understanding the importance of fair trials and assessing the problems, comparing with foreign country regulations, having knowledge to argue the topic in universal level, foreseeing the outcomes of breaches of human rights. 3. Gaining knowledge on filing a suit in criminal law, operation and ending stages of a criminal suit, being competent to answer questions. 4. Gaining knowledge on legal system. Gaining basic knowledge on correct remedies to resolve problems. 5. Gaining knowledge on persons enrolled in criminal suits, acts and duration during the suits. Gaining ability to analyze court orders in basic level. 6. Gaining knowledge on collection of proof in order to reach the truth and assessment methods in order to maintain a research. 7. Using IT and communication technologies in criminal procedure law efficiently. 8. Gaining the ability to maintain the basic outcomes and competences acquired during the education in graduate degree.
