Course Objectives To analyze legal and social problems with regards to the perspective of gender in the context of international law
Course Content In this course, main concepts within gender, feminism, feminist legal theory, queer theory is discussed. Also the relationship between gender and civil law, principles and regulations on combating domestic violence and gender-based violence are analyzed. Furthermore, the principle of equality, the prohibition of discrimination, hate speech and hate crimes, and intersectionalism are dealt.
Learning Outcomes (LO) 1. To analyze social problems within human rights with critical approach 2. To possess a perspective of gender while analyzing legal problems 3. To view all gender problems within the scope of international law 4. To analyze legal problems in the context of feminist law theory 5. To be able to research law literature
