Course Objectives The aim of this course is to enable students comprehend what they read and hear in the foreign language and make them write about the things they have thought about critically. Reading a large variety of texts and learning academic vocabulary items provide the improvement in expressing themselves effectively both in written and spoken English. By this way, learners deal with the challenges in language communication effectively, which is necessary in their professional, social and cultural life.
Course Content • To be able to have academic skills in writing, reading, listening and speaking • To be able to have the necessary skills to read effectively. • To be able to write an academic text which involves introduction, development and conclusion parts • To be able to understand and analyze academic texts • To be able to produce academic writings.
