Course Objectives The main goal of this course is to provide students with knowledge on reading academic texts written in law, evaluating the structure of a text and writing an academic text conforming to the academic writing rules.
Course Content In the course titled “Academic Reading and Writing” how to review literature in law, how to evaluate the structure of an academic text (article) in law and how to write an academic text conforming to the academic writing rules are studied.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings: 1. will be able to evaluate an academic text (article) in law. 2. will be able to read an academic text (abstract) in law critically. 3. will be able to discern the thesis statement in an academic text (article) at once. 4. know how to write an academic text (article) in law. 5. know writing rules and be aware of how to reference. 6. will be able to keep track of literature in law.
