Course Objectives Fundamental concepts of the international law of the sea are analyzed
Course Content To teach the general concepts and principles of the law of the sea.
Learning Outcomes (LO) Students who complete this course gain the ability to identify, understand and interpret the internal waters, territorial sea, exclusive economic zone and continental shelf of coastal states and third countries' rights and powers, rules governing high sea areas, the international seabed regime, the mechanism for resolving disputes created by the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, Turkey's territorial waters in the Aegean Sea continental shelf areas and issues, the 1958 Geneva and 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea in general.
