Course Objectives |
The aim of this course is to give student fundamental statistical concepts and to introduce descritive and inferential statictical methods. |
Course Content |
Fundemental statistical definition and concepts.
Visual and numerical description of data. Fundemental probability concepts.
Discrete and continuous probability distributions. Sampling distributions.
Hypothesis testing with one sample and two samples:
Mean and ration tests. Correlation tests. Test of independency.

Learning Outcomes (LO) |
1. Bir veri kümesini görsel ve sayısal olarak betimleyebilir. Students can describe a data set using visiual and numerical methods.
2. Olasılık temel tanımlarını ve olasılık dağılımlarını güncel yaşamda gözlemleyebilir ve olasılık hesapları yapabilir. Student can observe probability distrubition and calculate the probability of some evets in dailly life.
3. Verinin geldiği kitlenin ortalaması ve oranları hakkında hipotezler ileri sürebilir ve test edebilir.
4. İki veri kümesinin geldiği kitlelerin ortalamaları ve oranları hakkında hipotezler ileri sürebilir ve bunları test edebilir.
5. İki veri kümesinin geldiği kitlelerin bağımsız olduğu ya da bunlar arasında ilişki olduğuna dair hipotezleri ileri sürebilir ve bu hipotezleri test edebilir. |
