Course Objectives

1-Definition of international financial law, differences from commercial law, discussion on whether international financial law is part of public law, 2-how international financial and money markets work,3- structure of the Bretton Woods system, Montevideo agreements and Vienna, foreign exchange market, legal structure of the European Union, 4-Court of Justice of the EU, The structure and operation of the EU monetary union, the operation and role of the 5-European Parliament, the mismatches caused by the common agricultural policy, etc. will be the main subjects treated

Course Content

As part of this course, economic relations involving states and international organizations will be examined. In addition, the fundamental principles of international financial law and the monetary union of the European Union, and the functioning of the international monetary and financial system, legal and economic aspects of international regulations will be analyzed.

Learning Outcomes (LO)

1. Explains the parties of International Finance Law 2. Defines the basic concepts of International Finance markets 3. Knowledgeable about the functioning of the money market and the structure of the foreign exchange market. 4. Have knowledge about the structure, procedures, charter, judicial process and decision making mechanism of the EU Court of Justice 5. Has knowledge about the basic principles of the EU Monetary Union and explains its operation 6. Can discuss problems related to dispute cases in EU Court of Justice 7. Has knowledge of Blokchain technology and can discuss problems about the operation of the global trading platform 8. Economic and monetary union and is knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the system to be included in Turkey
