Course Objectives This course aims to comprehend the neurophysiological foundations of cognition and cognitive processes such as selective attention, perception, learning, memory, language, and executive functions.
Course Content In the course, processes such as selective attention, automatic attention, executive functions, learning, memory, language, and sleep, which are among the higher mental functions, will be explained together with their neural networks.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of a semester will acquire the following: LO1-Recognize the cellular and molecular basis of cognition. LO2- Recognize the functional anatomy of cognition LO3- Recognize the physiological mechanisms of cognitive processes such as perception, attention, executive functions, orientation, learning, memory, and language. LO4-Language, memory, cellular and anatomical explanations of learning processes. LO6- Recognize and explain types of memory. LO7-Recognize the cognitive processes of language and associate it with anatomy. LO8-Recognize the neural systems of emotions at the entry-level.
Mode of Delivery Face to face
