Course Objectives The aim of this course is to address the nature of violence and bullying in children and adolescents in a multidimensional way; The aim is to examine various evidence-based interventions aimed at primary, secondary and tertiary prevention prepared with different theoretical frameworks and to create an intervention design to prevent bullying.
Course Content Historical Development, Prevalence and Current Situation of Peer Bullying Classification of Peer Bullying Statuses for Involvement in Bullying Theoretical Approaches Explaining Peer Bullying and Bullying Victimization Effects of Involvement in Bullying on Children and Adolescents Risk Factors and Protective Processes Preventing Bullying on 3 Levels
Learning Outcomes (LO) 1- Recognizes bullying and distinguishes it from violence and aggression. 2- Explains the development of bullying with theoretical foundations. 3- Knows the short and long term effects of bullying. 4- Knows examples of effective interventions to prevent bullying. 5- Develops an original draft intervention to reduce and prevent bullying.
