Course Objectives The main goal of this course is to describe sociology as a social science; but the most important goal is to provide students with the ability of analyzing what's happening around themselves in an multi-dimensional perspective; by doing so it is expected that they will be aware of human rights.
Course Content In the course called “Introduction to Sociology” sociology in history, individual's status and roles in the course of interaction with others, and anything related to society are discussed.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings: 1. will be able to develop his/her analytic thinking skills. 2. will be aware of the positions and roles of the individual in the course of interaction with others in society. 3. know that all cultures effect each other and try to protect the human rights.
