Course Objectives |
This course aims at apprehending the evolution and basic operation of rules of law as distinct from social life rules. Students who enlightened about various legal concepts and terms, are expected to have awareness of judicial systems, norms and qualifications. In this context, another aim of this course is to develop interpretetion and comparision abilities of the students who have the knowledge of legal events, procedures and activities which are presentative reflections of law. |
Course Content |
This course examines rules of law which are formed as distinct from various rules of social order to make human i.e. zoon politikon survive in social environment. In this context, this course contains basic knowledge of operation of law and what law is as distinct from moral and religious principles. This knowledge includes how the distinction occured in positive law and dissidences about this subject. Knowledge about partition of positive law ensures the comparison of public and private law. Also, examination of basic concepts of law like sources of law, legislation and law systems are essential to comment on law events, procedures and activities. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1- will be able to put forward idea about fundamentals of law, 2- will be able to make distinction between public law and private law and to have the knowledge of branches of private law as a beginer, 3- will be able to have the knowledge about, variety of legal rules, implementing and interpreting of law in terms of location and date, 4- will be able to get ready to examine notions of justice and right, 5- will be able to have the awareness about historical process of law and analyze the changes in this process better. 6- will be able to put forward idea about distinction of current legal systems |
