General Information
The management information systems, which form the basis of the information age, are being dealt with a more comprehensive and depth manner in the world and in our country, finding many different fields of application and therefore rapidly gaining importance and affecting many sciences. It is inevitable for these branches of science, which are actively interacting with the management information systems, to have a sound and scientific basis for the interaction in question. In parallel with these developments, people in almost every area are interested in these systems that increase productivity in management and want to specialize in their fields. The purpose of the Master of Science (MSc) in Management Information Systems is to train specialists with scientific background in
this field and contribute to research activities.
The program in which the language of instruction is Turkish can be completed with or without a thesis. There are 2 professors, 1 associate professor, 2 assistant professors, and 2 research assistant in our department's academic staff. -

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Master of Science in Management Information Systems.

Admission Requirements
Students who want to graduate without a thesis in Management Information Systems Department must have successfully completed at least 4 years of undergraduate education. Students are accepted to the graduate program by interview. The number of students to be admitted to the graduate programs and the qualifications to be sought in candidate students are announced every year. In this province, the application conditions and deadline date, the place and date of candidates' interviews are specified. Non-thesis programs do not require Ales and Foreign Language Skills. Candidates; until the deadline for submission of applications in the province, the graduation diplomas, the achievement grades from the courses they have taken at the undergraduate level, the certified documents indicating the graduation grade averages, the other registration related information and apply to the institute directorate. Registration of candidates is conducted and conducted by the relevant institute directorate.

Arrangements for the Recognition of Prior Learning
The rules for recognition of formal prior learning are well defined. A student who is currently enrolled in a Master's Degree programme in the same discipline at another institution and has successfully completed at least one semester, upon submitting all required documents before the deadline, may transfer to the Master's Programme at UFUK University upon the recommendation of the department administration and with the approval of the Administrative Committee of the Graduate School. The decision taken will also include eligibility for exemption from some course requirements of the graduate program.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to obtain Master's Degree without a thesis, it is necessary to successfully complete the study of "term project" without credits and complete cources with 30 credits of local credits. The term project is non-credit based on the local credit system and is considered successful or unsuccessful. In this program, the student must have 60 ECTS credits in the non-thesis program and be at least 2.50 out of 4.00 of GPA.

Master’s program trains managers, who have a full knowledge of the academic literature, and theoretical and practical knowledge about business management cientific studies and interpret scientific researches and seize the importance of lifelong learning and ethical values at the same time.

Management Information Systems is the only area of specialization that focuses on both business processes and information and communication technologies. The skills gained in this area include highly sought-after expertise in business applications that enable them to develop creative solutions that help explain technological developments in business functions such as accounting, finance, marketing, create and manage teams to develop these solutions, and look at a technological perspective to understand business requirements.

Management Information Systems Graduates from the department can work as business analysts, business development specialists, business intelligence analysts, database administrators, database
analysts, information systems managers, information technology consultants, information technology development project managers, network administrators, system analysts, system developers, technicians support specialists, web developers, etc., can work in positions with extremely attractive possibilities. -
Access to Further Studies
Graduates who have successfully completed the graduate program can not transfer to doctorate programs.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Students are required to take a mid-term and final examination for course evaluation. The final grade is based on the mid-term examination grade and the final examination grade with the contribution of 40% and 60% respectively. To pass any course, a student must receive at least 60 out of 100. Students whose Cum GPA are at least 2.50 are considered successful. Students whose Cum GPA lower than 2.50 (CB) must retake the courses that they had CC grades.The assessment for each course is described in detail in "Individual Course Description".
