Course Objectives To inform students about the most important event in recent history, the Cold War Period. For this purpose, the pre-Cold War epoch, emergence of the Cold War, the formation of the Eastern and Western Blocks, important competition points, the relations of the superpowers with other countries, their phases and the ending era of Cold War will be examined.
Course Content The course covers the emergence process of the Cold War period, the formation of the Eastern and Western Blocs, the areas of conflict between these blocs, the foregin affairs of the USA and the Soviet Union with other countries, the stages of change and the end of the Cold War period.
Learning Outcomes (LO) 1. Having knowledge about the Cold War; 2. Understanding the Bipolar World Order; 3. Understanding the concepts of superpower, dominant power, client / dependent country; 4. Examining the change in the world order
