Course Objectives |
Students develop their scientific thinking power and design scientific research that can examine the problems they notice in educational settings, conduct research and report the result. |
Course Content |
Philosophy of Scientific Research, Initial concepts in scientific research methods, Structure of a research. Sampling techniques and sample size, Data collection tools. Data analysis. Reporting and APA standards. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
1. Explains the purpose of science and ways of reasoning. Can distinguish scientific knowledge from non-scientific. 2. Defines an observed problem as a research problem and poses research questions. 3. Selects the appropriate data collection methods for the variables in the research question. 4. Defines the universe and sample in the research question. 5. Recognizes the research designs. 6. Recognizes APA rules and reports a research accordingly. |
