Understanding the philosophical basis of different psychological counseling theories
Knowing personality theories of psychological counseling theories
Knowing about the therapeutic processes of different theories and therapeutic techniques of theories

Course Content |
Psychological counseling and psychotherapy focus on the investigation of the theories of counseling looking at
the interaction taking place between two people who are taking risk for a change in a therapeutic environment
and also the how these theories perceive human beings, their philosophical foundations, personality theories and
therapeutic processes and techniques.

The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings;
1. be able to explain the philosophical basis of psychological counseling theories
2. be able to differentiate the therapeutic processes of theories
