| Course Objectives |
Transferring information about the foundation stage of the Republic of Turkey, the Turkish Understanding the fundamental nature of the revolution and adopting, young people have the consciousness of history is aimed. |
| Course Content |
This course examines the establishment process of Turkish Republic, the principles, of Atatürk and Turkish revolution, and political affairs after Atatürk's period. |
| Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings:
LO1- Comprehend that Turkish Modernization embodies a continuity and a break.
LO2- Explain that Balkan War is an important breaking point of Turkish Nationalism together with the results of the war.
LO3- Explain the causes and consequences of the First World War.
LO4 List National Struggle steps and the results, Recognize the leader of the National Movement and the Republic of Turkey's founder Ataturk.
LO5- To evaluate the importance of the Lausanne Peace Treaty, the steps taken on the way to the Republic and the results of these.

Paris Peace Conference: Decisions for Turkish Lands at the Conference, Occupation of Izmir. Associations in Armistice Environment: National Forces, National Societies, National Hostile Societies.

Following the Armistice of Mondros, Mustafa Kemal Pasha was appointed as the 9th Army Inspector and his departure to Samsun. Circulars and Congresses Period: Havza Circular, Amasya Circular, Erzurum and Sivas Congress, Other Congresses.
