Course Objectives |
The aim of this course is to explain how student nurses can get to know themselves and others, gain awareness about related basic concepts and develop their communication skills, use the correct communication skills they will gain in daily life and in their profession, and contribute to the formation of sensitivity and awareness in this direction. |
Course Content |
The contents of this course consist of theoretical information, case studies and group discussion on self-knowledge and communication methods, which are the first conditions for establishing healthy communication and understanding others. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of a semester will acquire the following:
LO1- He/She can explain the basic concepts of self-knowledge and communication.
LO2- He/She can define the types of communication and the factors affecting communication.
LO3- He/She can understand the factors that hinder communication and can use techniques that help communication.
LO4- He/She can establish a healthy nurse-patient relationship.
