Physiotherapy


General Information

Ufuk University began education in 2002-2003. The  training in physiotherapy Vocational education was opened in the 2008-2009 academic year , depending on the school. The purpose of this program is  train technical staff that apply the necessary treatment of patients who require physical therapy due to the treatment program in a proper way. Physical Therapy  program accepts 40 students every year.  

Department language is Turkish.

Qualification Awarded

Physiotherapy Technician, Associate Degree.

Level of Qualification

Associate Degree.

Admission Requirements

Ufuk University Psysiotherapy students are admitted by examination conducted by the center of student selection and placement center (OSYM)

Arrangements for the Recognition of Prior Learning

Students admitted to our School can bring transcript of their grades and course content they study domestically or abroad in  other Higher Education institutions before ,with the applicant .The credit and grade transfer requests are examined by the school board and they make the decision .

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Students graduate from the program must pass  all the courses in the program , and there should  be no FF . Students in this program should provide a minimum of 120 ECTS credits and a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 .A further 30 business days of summer internship of 240 hours must be made ​​.

Profile of the Programme

 Graduates of the program can work under expert supervision  at hospitals, special medical branch centers and physical therapy and rehabilitation clinic of elderly care centers (home care center, nursing home center, day care center etc.).

Students who graduate from our program can pass to Nursery, Physiotherapy sections through vertical transmission.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Student's success in Health Services Vocational School is determined by an evaluation of the mid-term notes along with the final exam grade. Mid-term notes, consists of the notes depending on the midterm exam and course assignments, practices, practical work . Last assessment, are determined by the course instructor with one of the following letter grades,taking into the consideration of  success level of all students taking the course
