Course Objectives This course aims to introduce the musculoskeletal system and to provide the necessary knowledge and skills about measurement and evaluation techniques.
Course Content Principles and application of measurement and evaluation methods used in physical therapy and interpretation of the findings.
Learning Outcomes (LO) LO1- Musculoskeletal system, structure and general properties of joints LO2- To be able to comprehend and measure the range of motion of joints LO3- To be able to apply the necessary equipment to measure upper and lower extremity muscle strength LO4- Evaluate trunk muscles as a whole LO5- Perceiving pain in musculoskeletal system and making the necessary evaluation LO6- To be able to make posture analysis and use it in daily practice LO7- Determination of muscle length measurements and determination of appropriate treatment protocol LO8- To be able to determine the flexibility of the muscles and to take the necessary precautions for undesired situations LO9- To be able to comprehend anthropometric measurements, to make general evaluation about gait analysis
