Course Objectives |
Aims to develop the skills and basic knowledge of health professionals on the principles and applications of communication on health.

Course Content |
Course includes: Definition and principles of communication, Methods of Speaking, Listening and Non verbal communication, Models of health communication, Health professionals and patient communication and Knowledge and skills on health communication on media.

Learning Outcomes (LO) |
LO 1- The student can explain the definition and principles of communication
LO 2- The student can understand the importance of speaking in communication and can use the methods of talking effectively
LO 3- The student can understand the importance of listening in communication and can use the method of active listening effectively
LO 4- The student can understand the importance of non verbal communication and can make use of the clues of non verbal communication effectively
LO 5- The student can explain the positive and negative role of different expectations of health professionals and patients in their overall communication
LO 6- The student knows the diverse models of health communication and their applications
LO 7- The student can design a media health communication program
