Course Objectives This course focuses on the systematic development of reading and speaking skills through a wide range of realistic, stimulating dialogues featuring people in everyday situations.
Course Content The course aims at developing reading and speaking skills of the students through the use of authentic or semi-authentic reading texts.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; LO 1 Making telephone conversations and expressing opinions in essays. LO 2 Reading for content, opinion, attitude and purpose. LO 3 Giving advice, giving instructions. LO 4 Expressing aggrement /disaggrement, demanding and giving explanations . LO 5 Making, re-arranging and cancelling appointments. LO 6 Asking for personal views, expressing likes /dislikes. LO 7 Reading for detail or certain information. LO 8 Giving information related to healthy lifestyle, healthy eating and also accidents and injuries.
