Course Objectives
Course Content Basic pharmacological concepts, drugs, pharmaceutical forms, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, doses and administration ways and methods. Autonomic nervous system and its neurotransmitters, cardiovascular system, central nervous system, respiratory, gastrointestinal and endocrinology diseases and pharmacological agents used for the treatment of diseases of these systems. Analgesics, and anesthetic and chemotherapeutics agents.

1. Week Introduction to pharmacology, drug concept, pharmaceutical forms and administrations, absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion
2. Week Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, receptor theory, drug-receptor interactions
3. Week Basic concepts of toxicology and toxic effects of pharmacological agents. General principals of treatment of acute drug poisoning
4. Week ANS Pharmacology, Sympathomimetic and Sympatholytic drugs
5. Week Parasympathomimetic and parasympatholytic drugs
6. Week CVS Pharmacology, Antihypertensive Drugs, Diuretics, Vasodilatators, Angina pectoris
7. Week CVS Pharmacology, The drugs used Congestive Heart Failure and Cardiac Aritmia
