Course Objectives Give the theoretical and practical gains in immunohistochemistry techniques
Course Content This course includes; defines the basic techniques of Immunohistochemistry, defines antibodies in immunohistochemistry, defines tumor antigens, basic enzymology, defines and applies the techniques of fixation in immunohistochemistry, explain the steps of immunohistochemical staining technics (applies antigen retrieval step, prepare control preparations, defines and implements the methods of painting) ıdentifies ımmunofluorescence techniques, identifies the problems encountered in immunohistochemistry
Learning Outcomes (LO) At the end of this course, students will perform the followings: 1. Define the basic techniques of Immunohistochemistry 2. Define antibodies in immunohistochemistry. 3. Define tumor antıgens. 4. Define basic enzymology. 5. Define and applies the techniques of fixation in immunohistochemistry. 6. Explain the steps of immunohistochemical staining techniques. 6.1. Define and applies antigen retrieval step 6.2.Prepare control preparations. 6.3. Define and implements the methods of staining 7. Identify immunofluorescence techniques 8. Identify the problems encountered in immunohistochemistry.
