Course Objectives 
Learn basic techniques and cytological samples 
Course Content 
This course includes; defines and implements the basic methods of preparation of gynecologic cytology and of nongynecologic cytologic material, explains the basic concepts of gynecologic and nongynecologic exfoliative cytology, defines and applies the techniques of liquidbased and convantional cytology, defines methods for routine cytopathologic staining (PAP, MGG, HE), defines and applies the techniques of fineneedle aspiration and the preparation of fineneedle aspiration material, defines and applies advanced techniques (immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, insıtuhibridization)in cytopathology, describes the quality control in cytology. 
Learning Outcomes (LO) 
At the end of this course; Students will perform the followings:
1. Define and implements the basic methods of preparation of gynecologic cytology material
1.1 Explains the basic concepts of gynecologic exfoliative cytology
2. Define the basic methods of preparation of nongynecologic cytologic materials and implements
2.1 Explains the basic concepts of nongynecologic exfoliative cytology
3. Define and applies the techniques of liquidbased cytology. 4. Define methods for routine cytopathologic staining (PAP, MGG, HE)
5. Define and applies the techniques of fineneedle aspiration
5.1 Makes the preparation of fineneedle aspiration material.
6. Define and applies advanced techniques (immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, insıtuhibridization)in cytopathology
