General Information
Fundamentals of Nursing with Thesis Master Degree Program contains courses such as fundamentals of nursing, clinical practice, physiopathology, conceptual framework in nursing, biostatistics and research methods. Education language is Turkish. In this program, compulsary and selective courses are taken in the first year. In the second year, it is necessary to take the course named "Cummunication in Nursing", and a project study must be prepared. One professor in Fundamentals of Nursing, four associate professor in various nursing areas ara available in department staff.

Admission Requirements
It is compulsory for student candidates who want to study the Master Degree Programme with thesis in fundamentas of nursing that they finished successfully the BSN program in nursing. Students to the program are registered by an interview. The numbers and qualifications of candidates are declared every year. In this declaration, application requirements, application deadline, interview date and interview place are described. ALES and foreign language are not required. Candidates fill related forms declaring BSN diploma, transcript documents and apply to Institute Management. Registration procedures are regulated and carried out by Institute Management.

Arrangements for the Recognition of Prior Learning
To be able to accept the horizontal transfer application of a student, it is compulsary that our courses and entry requirements of his/her prior registered postgraduate program are comply with untill application deadline. Also, in the related main area, faculty member who will be advisory, and infrastructure facilities must be available. A student who wants to transit a postgraduate program horizontally applies to related Institute Management by adding the document introducing his/her prior program and transcript in the date described in the academic calendar. Institute Manager send these documents to the related main program presidency and wants to the comments. If these comments are positive, Institute Manager wants the names of courses to comply with. The comments of main program presidency are interviewed and made decision before education beginning date. That which courses will be taken into consideration in the context of minimum course load is determined by the comments of advisory and related main program presidency and also the approval of Institute Management Board.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
It is mandatory that student had a course load with 30 credits and had to completed a noncredit-Project study successfully. The Project study has no credit and is evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. It is necessary that student finish minimum 60 credit and mean general success score be minimum 2,50 of 4,00.

This program graduates nurses who have theoretical and practical knowledge in Fundamentals of Nursing, who can use her/his knowledge and skills in patient care and student education.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Nurses who completed this program work as educators and supervisors in their scope of department in hospitals and a variety of health centers. Since they didn’t complete master degree program with thesis, they don’t have the right to enter PhD examination.

Access to Further Studies
If student is successful and has other necessary criteria in the second year of this program, she/he can transfer to master degree program with thesis.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Students are required to take a mid-term and final examination for course evaluation. The final grade is based on the mid-term examination grade and the final examination grade with the contribution of 40% and 60% respectively. To pass any course, a student must receive at least 60 out of 100. Students whose Cum GPA are at least 2.50 are considered successful. Students whose Cum GPA lower than 2.50 (CB) must retake the courses that they had CC grades.The assessment for each course is described in detail in "Individual Course Description".
