Course Objectives Teaching techniques of the constructing the statistical simulation model of a business systems considering the random effect son the system behavior.
Course Content Course contains subjects of the constructing a simulation models of a system and the interpretation of simulation results. Course contain also Monte Carlo methods.
Learning Outcomes (LO) A simulation models algorithms will be able to developed for solve the problems in business such as operation research, management and statistics.

1. Week Basic definitions and concepts: System, goal of system, system simulation.
2. Week Creation of random variables. Some simple simulations using uniform distributions: Random walk
3. Week Simple simulations using uniform distributions: Integral calculation, simple utility unit simulation.
4. Week Other Monte Carlo methods.
5. Week Random number generation methods. Inverse transformation, rejection methods.
6. Week Empirical distribution and direct simulation.
7. Week Conducting a complete simulation study.
8. Week Industrial and business applications: Facility utilization.
9. Week Industrial and business applications: Equipment maintenance,
10. Week Industrial and business applications: Inventory control and network.
11. Week Risk analysis of investments and insurance.
12. Week Queuing applications: The single-channel single station queue
13. Week Determining queue length versus time.
