Course Objectives Course Objectives The aim of this course is enable the students comprehend what they read and hear in the foreign language .Learn the terminology and texts in their field ,express themselves effectively both in written and spoken English.Provide them language commmmuniation which is necessary in their Professional ,social and cultural life.
Course Content At the end of the term students read academic texts which are in different genres and topics.Related with this, They can learn to find topic sentences,make predictions,find detailed information,find supporting ideas,understand the organization of the text and ,define the terms that determines the conclusion, and also grasp the differences between important and unimportant information.They learn the necessary skills to read effectively. They learnn to wrıte an academic text which involves introduction,development and conclusion parts.In adition to this they learn how to write a topic sentence ,thesis statement ,and supporting ideas , by using conjuction and transition words they can provide coherence and unity.
