Course Objectives The aim of the course; Wireless networks, satellite communication, used elements, effective usage and today's applications, Global Mobile Communication Systems (GSM), General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol) protocol and working structure, LMDS and Wireless Remote Connection , Wireless Application Protocol WAP), Wireless Application Model, Wireless Application Environment (WAE).
Course Content At lesson; Working principles of wireless networks, physical properties, TCP/IP communication protocol, wireless network technologies used today and methods of establishing wireless networks, Global Mobile Communication Systems (GSM), General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol) protocol and working structure, LMDS and Wireless Remote Connection , Wireless Application Protocol WAP), Wireless Application Model, Wireless Application Environment (WAE) are discussed with examples.
Learning Outcomes (LO) 1-It gives information about the working principles of wireless networks. 2-Explains the physical features behind wireless communication. 3-Know the Architectural Structure of Wireless LAN Systems, 4-Learn Global Mobile Communication Systems (GSM), 5- Gain knowledge about General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), 6-They are informed about TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol) protocol and its working structure, 7-LMDS and Wireless Remote Connection 8-Learns the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), 9-Creates a Wireless Application Model, 10- Sets up a Wireless Application Environment (WAE).
