General Information
Fundamentals of Nursing with Thesis Master Degree Program contains courses such as fundamentals of nursing, clinical practice, physiopathology, conceptual framework in nursing, biostatistics and research methods. Education language is Turkish. Preparing thesis and being successful in thesis presentation exam is compulsary. One professor in Fundamentals of Nursing, four associate professor in various nursing areas ara available in department staff.

Admission Requirements
It is compulsory for student candidates who want to study the Master Degree Programme with thesis in fundamentas of nursing that they finished successfully the BSN program in nursing. Students to the program are registered by an interview. The numbers and qualifications of candidates are declared every year. In this declaration, application requirements, application deadline, interview date and interview place are described. Candidates must have a BSN diploma, at least 55 point in ALES related to this kind of score (by OSYM) or equal score of 55 point in Graduate Record Examination (GRE)/Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). It is necessary to take 50 point from YDS, E-YDS, KPDS, ÜDS by OSYM. Examinations in the table of OSYM Foreign Language Equivalent are also accepted. Similarly, it is sufficient that candidate takes 50 point from the examination by Ufuk University Preparation Classes Coordinatorship. Candidates fill related forms declaring approved ALES, foreign language, BSN diploma, transcript documents and apply to Institute Management. Registration procedures are regulated and carried out by Institute Management.

Arrangements for the Recognition of Prior Learning
To be able to accept the horizontal transfer application of a student, it is compulsary that our courses and entry requirements of his/her prior registered postgraduate program are comply with untill application deadline. Also, in the related main area, faculty member who will be thesis advisory, and infrastructure facilities must be available. A student who wants to transit a postgraduate program horizontally applies to related Institute Management by adding the document introducing his/her prior program and transcript in the date described in the academic calendar. Institute Manager send these documents to the related main program presidency and wants to the comments. If these comments are positive, Institute Manager wants the names of courses to comply with. The comments of main program presidency are interviewed and made decision before education beginning date. That which courses will be taken into consideration in the context of minimum course load is determined by the comments of advisory and related main program presidency and also the approval of Institute Management Board.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
It is compulsary to complete the course load with 21 credits, a non-credit seminar study and master degree thesis. Seminar course and thesis study haven’t any credit according to local credit system. These two courses are evaluated as “Successful” or “Nonsuccessful”. In this program, it is necessary that the total credit of a student must be 120 AKTS and the average grade point must be 2,50 of 4,00. Student must be register every semester before the beginning of the 3rd semester in the programme with thesis.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Student must participate in a course within minimum 70% attendence in order to enter the examination of a course. Success score is calculated by adding 40% of midterm and 60% of final. In order to be successful, this total score must be 60 of 100 minimum. Average success score must be minimum 2,5 for postgraduate students for the success of all courses. Students whose average success scores are less than 2,50 (CB) point take the courses that are CC repeteadly. That how the measurement and evaluation will be performed is explained in the “Course Instruction Plan”.
