Course Objectives |
At the end of this course, it is aimed that students will know the danger situations in pregnancy, birth and postpartum processes, factors affecting maternal and infant health in these processes, as well as develop an appropriate nursing approach to improving maternal and newborn health. |
Course Content |
This course includes nursing knowledge in which students can identify normal and risky situations for pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, birth and end-of-birth processes and develop care planning skills for mother-fetus/newborn during these periods. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The students who completed the course successfully will acquire the followings:
LO -1. Knows the signs of danger in pregnancy.
LO -2. Knows the psycho-social and cultural dimension of pregnancy.
LO -3. It performs normal labor and nursing care for this process.
LO -4. Knows postpartum care and nursing care in risky situations.
LO -5. Knows breastfeeding policies.
LO -6. Breast-feeding and family planning does counseling.
LO -7. Know family planning methods that can be used in the first six months and after the Postpartum.
