Course Objectives The aim of this course is to enable students to have knowledge about data and technology management in theoretical and practical context and to be able to use them in scientific research and in the field. In the theoretical context, it is desirable to examine advanced and current research on data and technology management conceptual frameworks, different levels of abstraction, big data, internet of things, smart cities application areas, and conduct a research on a related subject.
Course Content Examining data and technology management at strategy, business, process and technology levels, data integration, IT innovation, open data governance and architecture, big data features and application areas, innovative applications, data-driven product, data visualization, commercial value of data, data framework and quality matters.
Learning Outcomes (LO) Ability to use current technologies and system approach related to management information systems in business life and to solve problems.
