Course Objectives The aim of this course is to provide students with general information about group counseling, as well as the principles and techniques of counseling process, counseling process, skills and techniques used in the group to help them gain knowledge and skills.
Course Content In this course, principles and techniques of group counseling are discussed.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who have successfully completed this course will be able to; 1. To be able to comprehend the aims of group counselor 2. To be able to recognize the differences and similarities between individual and group counseling 3. To be able to comprehend the process and stages of group counseling 4. To be able to understand the benefits and limitations of the group counseling 5. To be able to comprehend techniques that can be used in group counseling 6. To be able to comprehend ethical principles for group counseling
