Course Objectives After studying the philosophy and methods of social sciences, students are trained in the ways of analyzing social and political phenomena and presenting their studies in an academic and scientific manner. The students have the opportunity to practice what they learn in class with the help of assignments
Course Content The methodological approachments of social sciences, the methods and tecniques (collecting and analyzing datas) of social sciences, the qualitative and quantitative measurement tecqniques in social sciences.After studying the philosophy and methods of social sciences, students are trained in the ways of analyzing social and political phenomena and presenting their studies in an academic and scientific manner. The students have the opportunity to practice what they learn in class with the help of assignments.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1- Studying the philosophy of science, scientific knowledge and methods of social sciences, 2- Analyzing social and political phenomena in the light of knowledge on methods of social sciences and philosophy of science 3- Presenting their studies in an academic and scientific manner
