Course Objectives Protection and development of reproductive health and sexual health of individuals during life span, diseases and drug use issues affecting sexual health and sexual health counseling.
Course Content Sexual health concept, reproductive health concept, protection and development of the sexual health of the individuals, diseases and drugs affecting sexual health, sexual and reproductive health of the vulnerable people, legal and ethical principles on sexual health / reproductive health, sexual health counseling.
Learning Outcomes (LO) LO-1 To explain reporoductive/ sexual health concept. LO-2 To list conditions which alleviate the sexual health / reproductive health. LO-3 To decide on nursing interventions that can be applied specific to the situation for individuals with sexual / reproductive health problems. LO-4 To identify appropriate counseling needs. LO-5 To state legal and ethical principles on sexual health / reproductive health.

1. Week Basic concepts about sexual and reproductive health: health, sexual health, reproductive health, factors affecting sexual health
2. Week Sexual health education
3. Week Population knowledge, fertility and population, world population and politics, population structure in Turkey, women and child health indicators
4. Week Sexual identity development, gender roles, love, friendship, flirting, marriage, parenting
5. Week Female and male sexual physiology, physiology of female sexual activity, sexual activity in male physiology, factors affecting sexual activity
6. Week Reproductive health and sexual health of young people, basic concepts about sex, reproductive health and sexual health in terms of young people, reproductive health and aims of sexual health services, view of societies sexuality, sexual myths
7. Week Gender, sexual norms and values, sexual identity, sexual orientation, types of sexual behavior and sexual proximity, sexual intercourse and masturbation, sexual abuse-sexual violence, gender-based violence, youth mental changes, harmful habits in young people, smoking-alcohol-substance abuse and risky sexual behavior.

12. Week Diseases and medicines that affect sexual health.
13. Week Prevention and early diagnosis of STDs and their effects, prevention of male and female condom use, human papilloma virus (HPV) and HPV vaccination, cervical cancer national screening program
