Course Objectives Introduction of classification of adult psychopathologies in terms of current psychopathology paradigms. Discussion of the vulnerability, triggering and maintenance factors of certain adulthood psychopathologies.
Course Content Current adult psychopathology paradigms and classification systems are discussed in this course. Additionally, certain adult psychopathologies as dissociative, somatic symptoms, eating, and sexual disorders, schizophrenia, and personality disorders are introduced in the course.
Learning Outcomes (LO) 1- To acquire knowledge about the paradigms focusing on the etiology of adult psychopathology, being able to compare and criticize different paradigms, 2- To acquire knowledge about basic paradigms for the classification of adult psychopathology, 3- To acquire knowledge about the symptoms, etiology, prevalence, prognosis, and specific treatment techniques for specific adult psychopathologies, 4-Being able to relate the psychopathology knowledge to certain clinical cases.
