Course Objectives The aim of this course is to examine clinical psychology, personality concepts and theories from a critical point of view of art products. The aim of this course is to introduce the techniques of bibliotherapy and cinematherapy used in psychotherapy.
Course Content The course involves use of specific areas of art to address the theoretical and practical aspects of the field of clinical psychology.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attend the course and are successful at the end of semester will be able to; 1. to be able to recognize basic concepts and theories about cinematherapy 2. to apply the knowledge of personality theories by examining films and books 3. to have knowledge about bibliotherapy 4. to examine theories and concepts of clinical psychology in films and books 5. to obtain information about the role of psychologist through discussions 6. to have information about the current research findings 7. to think critically and analytically
