Course Objectives The aim of the course to give theoritic and contemporary knowledge about family approaches, features of family and role of family on the development of child
Course Content Family systems, theoritical and empirical approaches towards family in the social structure, cultural influences, family, marriage and development of family in Turkish Culture, the role of parents, child rearing methods, attachment, divorcement, remarriage, aging and family problems, communication between family members and family in the specific areas.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1- Understanding the development of family process 2- Understanding the knowledge about family relations in different cultures which are based on race, etnicity, gender, class, age and environment 3- Realizing the effects of family on the personality development of child starting from birth 4- Understanding the different problems and solutions about marriage and family 5- Adapting theory, knowledge, concept and researches to the real life
