Course Objectives The aim of this course is to teach students the theory of human rights and protection mechanism of human rights.
Course Content historical development of human rights, theories of human rights, classification of human rights, limitation of human rights, national and international protection of human rights (especially the European Convention on Human Rights), various types of human rights.
Learning Outcomes (LO) 1- The concept of human rights which is related to public freedoms, rights, freedom, equality will be learnt comparatively. 2- Recognized the rights such as civil and political rights, social rights, group rights, economic rights and rights of solidarity, which are the main achievements of contemporary democratic societies and individuals with their categories, and understand their place, importance and functions as a human right. 3- They will have knowledge about how human rights are protected in internationally accepted conventions. 4- They will learn the duties and responsibilities of national law and jurisdiction, and the sharing of duties and responsibilities in the field of national and international law. 5- They will have knowledge about individual application (conditions of examination in terms of admissibility and merits).
