Course Objectives The aim is to provide a good assessment of law reform and positive law by giving informations about Turkish Law System until the Republic period.
Course Content Students of the faculty of law must know the essence of law, the development and the characteristics of the institutions formed which come this development. It is of great importance to know the legal development of Turks in this general atmosphere. Because the feature that is not seen in science in any other way is the foundation of law: the forms of understanding which come directly from history to the rules of law give manner. In this respect, it is possible to see the weaknesses of the Turkish law in today's world with knowing the history of Turkish law.
Learning Outcomes (LO) 1-Examination of social, politic, economic, religious, moral, philosophic factors which provide evolutions and developments underlying rules and institutions of law, 2-To understand an explication of some notions of law as state of law, supremacy of law according to objective and scientific essentials, 3-To learn having a law culture for updating current law which fall short, 4-To comprehend law reforms which were done in the Republic period and 5-To learn an additive for solving foundation, land and heritage law’s cases which are pendent at the present time with history of law knowledge.
