Course Objectives The aim of this course is to provide students with theoretical knowledge on vocational guidance and counseling to enable students to prepare for vocational guidance and counseling practices and process of helping the vocational choice.
Course Content Concepts related to vocational choice The main stages of the career selection process The place and importance of vocation and vocational choice in human life The historical development of the vocational choice support services The factors affecting vocational choice Theories on vocational choice and vocational development Principles and techniques of vocational counseling
Learning Outcomes (LO) At the end of this course students will be able to Explain the concepts related to career choice. Explain the place and importance of vocation and vocational choice in human life. Know the historical development of the vocational choice support services Explain the factors affecting vocational choice Explain the theories on vocational choice and vocational development Know and adopt the principles of vocational guidance Know the techniques of vocational guidance and counseling Know how to help individuals in the process of choosing a vocation As a counselor, he / she recognizes his / her role in vocational guidance and counseling process
