Course Objectives Basic goal of the course is to teach students how they can help to contribute the personality developments of heir own students and how they can cooperate with the counselors at school in order to achieve this.
Course Content Basic concepts and principles of psychological counseling and guidance, history of guidance, types of guidance. Methods of research and assessment, process of counseling, theories of counseling. Ethics and legal concerns.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1. To learn the place of guidance in contemporary education system 2. To explain the goal and principles of guidance 3. To comprehend the types of guidance and services 4. To comprehend the models of guidance 5. To know the roles of classroom teachers with regard to guidance 6. To know the standardized and non standardized techniques of student appraisa 7. To cooperate with the guidance service at school 8. To gain the skills of tasks related with the teaching mission as suitable with the goal of the course.
