Course Objectives The goal of the course is to inform the students about psychology, definition and history of psychology, biological and evolutionary bases of psychology, sensation and perception, intelligence, emotions and motivation
Course Content Definition of psychology, history of psychology, fields of psychology (social, clinical ,educational ), theories of psychology (behavioral, cognitive, existential etc),biological bases of psychology, intelligence, sensation and perception, memory, theories of personality, abnormal behaviors, motivation, defence mechanisms.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; 1. To understand the nature of psychology 2. To express the names and basic features of theories of psychology 3. To explain conciousness and alternative states 4. To explain the place of emotions in human life 5. To discuss the concept and theories of intelligence 6. To describe memory ,its process and functions 7. To understand motivation, sources of motivation and its place in human life
