Course Objectives The aim of this course is to enable students to gain knowledge and skills related to psychological and ethical issues in counseling.
Course Content Ethical principles and general practice standards in the field of counseling, decision-making proper to professional ethics, client rights and responsibilities of counselors, legal problems.
Learning Outcomes (LO) Upon successful completion of this course, a student will be able to 1. define the basic concepts and principles of professional ethics. 2. evaluate the importance of professional ethics. 3. explain the rights of clients and the responsibilities of the counselor. 4. use the laws and regulations that regulate their duties and responsibilities in the field of counseling to make decisions in ethical dilemmas. 5. apply and evaluate appropriate decision making process in ethical dilemmas. 6. value having ethical consciousness and sensitivity.
