Course Objectives The aim of this course is help students to gain a perspective about construct of psychological testing, the stages of development, how the tests are being used and evaluated.
Course Content Basic information and concepts related to psychological tests, individual and group intelligence, achievement, aptitude and personality tests, attitude and interest inventories, administration and evaluation of certain tests and inventories.
Learning Outcomes (LO) Upon succesful completion of this course, a student will be able to 1. comprehend construct and usage of psychological tests, 2. recognize the stages of development of psychological tests, 3. comprehend usage areas of psychological tests, 4. define basic statistical methods which are used in evaluation of psychological tests, 5. recognize general intelligence, intellectual, achievement tests and interest inventories, 6. select a test for a specific purpose. 7. investigate the reliability and validity of psychological tests in various methods.

7. Week Evaluation of intelligence: Stanford-Binet, Wechsler and WISC-R

9. Week Evaluation of personality: Objective personality tests: MMPI, SCL 90 projective personality tests: TAT, CAT, Roschach
10. Week Interest measures: Kuder and Strong Interest Inventory, Occupational Interest Inventories
11. Week Measuring apptitudes and values:: Apptitude tests and characteristics
12. Week Developmental Tests:Bender-Gestalt, Peabody, Denver
13. Week Developing psychological measurement instruments
